Zone Manager – North Zone (14 stores)

About the role

Kmart NZ is seeking a dynamic Zone Manager to lead 14 stores across the North Zone of New Zealand. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be responsible for elevating the shopping experience and creating a best‑place‑to‑work environment for each store.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and improve store productivity across the zone.
• Manage remuneration, control cost of doing business (CODB), and oversee budget and financial performance.
• Develop and coach store teams, fostering a strong culture and talent pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Enhance customer experience and community engagement for all stores.

Required profile

• Proven multi‑site retail operational experience with a track record of delivering results.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities, focused on team development.
• Commitment to safety, customer focus, and high performance.
• Experience in budget, financial, and wage management.
• Ability to travel frequently across the North Zone.
