Youth Sports Worker

About the role

Warrington Youth Zone is seeking enthusiastic sports and fitness enthusiasts to join the Sports Team as Youth Sports Workers. You will deliver face‑to‑face sport sessions for young people across a range of facilities, including a boxing gym, sports hall, multi‑use games area, fitness gym and climbing wall.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and deliver safe, fun and structured sport and fitness sessions for young people.
• Adapt activities to reflect the interests and developmental needs of participants.
• Maintain equipment and ensure all areas comply with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to create a varied, multi‑disciplinary programme.
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and personal development through sport.

Required profile

• Passionate about working with young people and encouraging active lifestyles.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and able to inspire confidence.
• Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check in line with safeguarding policies.

Required skills

• Experience in delivering sport or fitness sessions for youth.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for gym and climbing environments.
