Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Academic Lead

About the role

We are seeking a senior academic leader to drive work‑integrated learning (WIL) across the Business School at Auckland University of Technology. The role will shape curriculum, support graduate success and connect students with authentic workplace experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of WIL and experiential learning programmes for all eight undergraduate business majors.
• Collaborate with industry partners to create authentic, employability‑focused projects and placements.
• Teach and mentor students, contributing to the Faculty’s research and service agenda.
• Develop and continuously improve curriculum to align with industry trends and university strategy.
• Support a passionate team in fostering innovative, industry‑connected learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Academic with a strong commitment to student success and graduate employability.
• Experience in work‑integrated learning, experiential education or a willingness to develop expertise in this area.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary faculty and with external partners.
• Senior lecturer level qualifications and a track record of curriculum innovation.
