Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Operator – Queenstown

About the role

Veolia Australia & New Zealand is seeking an experienced Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Operator to join its Queenstown team. You will support the Infrastructure Network operational teams to ensure safe drinking water delivery and efficient wastewater collection.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all reticulation infrastructure and associated network assets (planned, routine, breakdown).
• Identify, report and escalate problems within required timeframes.
• Perform fault finding, repairs and use excavators, small trucks and other plant equipment.
• Work collaboratively with internal staff, subcontractors and temporary labour.
• Participate in the on‑call operator roster.
• Uphold health, safety, quality and environmental standards and attend toolbox meetings.
• Follow Veolia’s occupational health, safety and environmental policies and complete required regulatory training.

Required profile

• Combination of relevant education, training and industry experience.
• Computer literacy.
