About the role

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will lead a friendly, supportive team to ensure smooth daily warehouse activities at J. A. Russell Ltd’s Christchurch Central facility. This hands‑on position combines direct staff interaction with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations, coordinating inbound and outbound flows.
• Work alongside warehouse staff to resolve issues and optimise processes.
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health‑and‑safety standards.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and support stock‑control procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to team members to improve performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team‑lead role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Christchurch.
