Warehouse Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Warehouse Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the finished‑goods and raw‑materials warehouses for a well‑established New Zealand food manufacturing business. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will own inventory accuracy, DIFOT performance and food‑safety compliance while building a high‑performing warehouse team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse activities across receipt, storage, picking and dispatch.
• Drive DIFOT, inventory accuracy and food‑safety/quality compliance.
• Plan labour and resources to meet production schedules and delivery timeframes.
• Coach, develop and embed a safety‑first culture within the warehouse team.
• Manage cycle counts and stock takes, investigating and resolving variances.
• Oversee WMS master data, equipment and pallet management.
• Support GMP/HACCP and MPI audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives across warehouse processes.

Required profile

• Proven warehouse leadership experience, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with a strong health and safety focus.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership skills in a busy operational environment.
• Valid forklift and reach licence.
• Experience with MPI audits and GMP/HACCP environments is highly advantageous.
