Vulnerability Researcher - AI Trainer

About the role

DataAnnotation is seeking experienced cybersecurity professionals to help train and improve AI models that generate security content. This remote, independent‑contractor position lets you set your own schedule while working on real‑world threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated cybersecurity outputs for accuracy, relevance, and practical applicability.
• Design and solve security‑focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
• Write clear technical explanations and security‑relevant code snippets.
• Provide actionable feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a cybersecurity role (e.g., penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related government/military cyber operations).
• Proficiency in coding and comfort navigating/patching a codebase.
• Fluent English with strong written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant certifications (OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, etc.) are a plus.
