Volunteer Coordinator - Guide Dog Services

About the role
The Volunteer Coordinator will lead and develop volunteer programmes within the Guide Dogs department, helping to attract, retain and engage volunteers who are passionate about supporting people with visual impairments.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organise and oversee volunteer activities and events.
- Recruit, train and mentor volunteers to ensure high‑quality support for guide dog operations.
- Maintain volunteer records, schedules and communication channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align volunteer efforts with organisational goals.
- Monitor volunteer satisfaction and implement improvements.
Required profile
- Strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.
- Experience in volunteer or community programme management is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
- Commitment to the mission of supporting blind and low‑vision individuals.
