Vineyard Operator

About the role

Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you will work in the heart of our award‑winning vineyards in Blenheim, ensuring the daily operations that sustain high‑quality wine production. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to develop a career in viticulture with a global wine brand.

Key responsibilities

• Operate vineyard machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform mulching, spraying, trimming, plucking and general vine maintenance.
• Maintain trellis systems and irrigation infrastructure.
• Support harvest operations, including frost fighting and seasonal work.
• Supervise seasonal workers and ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizenship, passport or valid work visa).
• Can‑do attitude, team player and willingness to work flexible hours during peak seasons.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Interest in developing a long‑term career in the wine industry.

Required skills

• Machine operation in a vineyard setting.
• Basic knowledge of Growsafe and first‑aid safety practices (training provided).
• Experience with mulching, spraying, irrigation and trellis maintenance (preferred but not essential).
