Village Assistant (Part‑time Fixed‑term)

About the role

Summerset is seeking a reliable Village Assistant to support Milldale Village on a part‑time, fixed‑term basis. You will be the first point of contact for residents, providing a calm and reassuring presence while ensuring safety, security and basic administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a professional first response to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services.
• Maintain cleanliness of village facilities and perform routine cleaning duties.
• Handle administrative tasks such as paperwork, scheduling and data entry.
• Monitor village security, report unusual activity and liaise with emergency services when required.
• Communicate clearly with the Village Manager and keep residents informed.

Required profile

• Calm, confident presence able to work independently, including overnight shifts.
• Strong decision‑making skills under pressure and excellent communication.
• Highly observant, responsible, dependable and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with residents.
• Current First Aid certification (preferred) and a full driver’s licence.
