About the role

Wakatipu High School is seeking a versatile part‑time teacher (up to 0.6 FTE) to deliver future‑focused, holistic education in a flexible learning environment. The role begins on 20 July 2026 (or by negotiation) and supports the addition of new classes in Term 3 while freeing key staff for strategic preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across one or more of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, ESOL, Spanish, Science, or Technology.
• Adopt student‑centred, progressive pedagogical approaches that foster growth mindsets.
• Build effective professional relationships with colleagues, students, and families.
• Contribute to the school’s all‑round education mission and collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Registered teacher based in Queenstown with full New Zealand work rights.
• Demonstrated flexibility to teach multiple subjects as needed.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, holistic education.
