Vehicle Integration Technician

About the role

Rocket Lab is seeking a Vehicle Integration Technician to join the Electron launch‑vehicle integration team. You will work hands‑on with tools and equipment to install and test mechanical and avionic components, wiring harnesses and high‑voltage batteries, supporting the production and launch schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Install mechanical and avionic components on the Electron launch vehicle.
• Fit wiring harnesses and high‑voltage battery packs according to precise specifications.
• Perform inspections and functional tests to ensure compliance with cleanliness and oxygen‑service standards.
• Collaborate with both avionics and mechanical technicians to meet launch deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to ESD policies.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified in a relevant industry.
• Minimum 2 years of precision avionic or mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to work to exacting standards, including oxygen‑service cleanliness.
• Good eyesight and ability to inspect assemblies to high workmanship standards.
• Capability to manufacture components to high workmanship quality.
