About the role

Ventia is seeking Traffic Controllers to manage vehicle and pedestrian flow around roadwork sites in the Thames‑Coromandel region of New Zealand. The role involves ensuring safety for workers and the public while supporting daily site operations in a coastal environment.

Key responsibilities

Direct and control traffic at construction sites to maintain safe passage.
Set up, monitor, and adjust signage, cones, and barriers as required.
Communicate with site crews and drivers to coordinate movements.
Report incidents and maintain accurate traffic logs.

Required profile

Current Traffic Control Level 1 qualification or willingness to obtain one.
Class 1 driver’s licence.
Safety‑first mindset and positive attitude.

Required skills

Traffic Control Level 1 certification.
Class 1 driver’s licence.
