Tourism Tutor – Teach Travel & Tourism Courses

About the role

The Tourism Tutor will deliver high‑quality training to students enrolled in our tourism programmes at the Auckland CBD campus. You will use existing curricula and resources to create an engaging learning environment and help learners achieve their qualifications and launch careers in the travel industry.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom sessions and practical activities for tourism courses.
• Prepare and adapt lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
• Provide feedback and support to students to ensure successful completion of their qualifications.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve course delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in the travel or tourism sector, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Diploma or degree in Tourism or a related field is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and supporting student success.
• Teaching experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the tourism industry and its career pathways.
• Ability to deliver curriculum and assess student performance.
