Test Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Test Lead to drive verification and validation activities across our product portfolio. The role focuses on developing requirements analysis, configuring data, and creating automated test solutions to ensure system performance and reliability meet Cubic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and programming of automated and semi‑automated test equipment.
• Collaborate with management to define test concepts, objectives, and associated risks, costs, and schedules.
• Work with engineering leads to develop product and system requirements and review proposed test criteria.
• Provide input to design and system engineers to embed test requirements in new or upgraded designs.
• Analyze test requirements, recommend optimal implementation methods, and assess equipment and material needs for production testing.
• Prepare detailed test plans outlining scope, resources, and schedules for program managers, engineers, and customers.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and industrial engineering to determine optimal production sequencing and estimate test time, cycle time, equipment usage, and capacity.
• Recommend equipment solutions, including COTS or bench‑top options, and assist in first‑article proofing.
• Partner with design and quality engineering to conduct root‑cause analysis and resolve issues before release.
• Write automated test plans and procedures, conduct tests, and support test personnel with documentation and training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in verification and validation engineering, preferably at a senior level.
• Ability to work under general supervision while exercising discretionary decision‑making authority.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience coordinating with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
• Willingness to travel for off‑site testing at customer locations or other facilities.
