Territory Manager – Building Products

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Territory Manager to lead our South Island sales operations for Laminex New Zealand. Based in Dunedin, you will manage an established territory that stretches from the city to surrounding regions, representing market‑leading decorative surface brands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of joiners, kitchen manufacturers, and merchants while pursuing new business opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with owners, decision‑makers and project stakeholders to understand their needs and future projects.
• Drive sales growth across residential and commercial markets through established product ranges and new launches.
• Provide expert product and technical advice, solving customer challenges and strengthening long‑term partnerships.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans to maximise market share, revenue and customer engagement.
• Identify emerging customer needs and position Laminex as the preferred partner for decorative surfaces and building solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the building, construction, trade‑supply or related manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of how builders, contractors, developers and merchants operate.
• Demonstrated ability to build long‑term relationships, grow accounts and uncover new opportunities.
• Commercially minded with a disciplined approach to sales planning and pipeline management.
• Self‑motivated and able to work autonomously while collaborating with the Dunedin operations team.

Required skills

• Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
