Technology Project Manager

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Technology Project Manager to lead planning, execution and oversight of key technology initiatives. The role ensures projects align with ANZ’s technology strategy, are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and meet high‑quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedule, scope, budget and change control.
• Coordinate resources and inter‑dependencies across multiple work streams, involving internal teams, vendors and contractors.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, fostering an environment of openness, trust and collaboration.
• Monitor project progress, provide transparent reporting and manage escalations.
• Identify, assess and communicate risks, issues and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure financial budget oversight for all project deliverables.
• Support project governance activities, including progress reporting and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering small to medium‑size technology initiatives in large, complex and dynamic environments.
• Strong ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills with a track record of motivating cross‑functional teams.
• Experience working with third‑party vendors to achieve customer‑focused outcomes.
