About the role
Russell McVeagh is seeking a Technology Lawyer to join its Auckland Technology and Digital team. You will work on high‑profile technology transactions and advise leading tech companies, financial services, and energy institutions on a range of cutting‑edge issues.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on complex technology procurement, supply, manufacturing, commercialisation and distribution agreements.
- Support clients through ransomware incidents and other cyber‑security challenges.
- Assist in the development and implementation of AI, biometric and blockchain solutions.
- Manage multi‑jurisdictional IT transformation projects and related legal matters.
- Provide counsel on digital platforms, e‑commerce arrangements, outsourcing contracts, intellectual property and privacy issues.
- Consult on business‑critical IT disputes.
Required profile
- 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a top‑tier private practice.
- Demonstrated experience in technology law, including procurement, digital platforms, outsourcing, IP and privacy.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to handle high‑value, cross‑border transactions.
