Technical Support Specialist – Auckland

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Technical Support Specialist position is based in Auckland and focuses on delivering reliable IT support to business clients. The role ensures continuous operation of production line and general IT environments by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
• Monitor system performance and maintain high availability.
• Respond to support tickets and provide timely, customer‑focused solutions.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Document incidents, keep accurate records, and contribute to process improvements.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with customers to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network environments.
• Solid analytical abilities to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Customer‑service orientation with clear communication skills.
• Relevant experience in IT support roles, preferably within small or medium‑sized businesses.
• Ability to work on‑site in Auckland, manage multiple priorities and perform under time‑sensitive conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts in accessible language.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365) are beneficial.
