Team Leader – Palmerston North (Female)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated female Team Leader to join our residential disability support service in Palmerston North. In this hands‑on position you will work closely with the Service Delivery Lead to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care while supporting a small team of support workers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day‑to‑day service coordination and ensure a safe, positive home environment.
• Support staff orientation, shift handovers and rostering, including arranging relief cover.
• Facilitate team communication, provide practical guidance and monitor service quality.
• Complete progress notes, reporting and other administrative documentation.
• Support the person to build independence, stay active and participate in community activities.

Required profile

• Calm, empathetic and proactive approach with strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with the person, family/whānau and other professionals.
• Physically fit and confident working collaboratively in a residential setting.
• Full driver’s licence and Level 3 or 4 qualification.
• Minimum two years experience in a disability support or similar role.
