Team Leader - Health & Nursing

About the role

Healthcare Academy of New Zealand (HANZ), a private training organisation delivering Enrolled Nurse education based in Auckland, is hiring a Team Leader for its Health and Nursing faculty. This is a campus-based, full-time, permanent, on-site role in the Auckland CBD. The Team Leader supports tutors delivering HANZ programmes so that students receive a consistent classroom experience, oversees team development from a teaching and learning perspective and contributes to a vibrant campus culture. The role reports operationally to the Campus Manager and is professionally accountable to the Head of Faculty for academic quality, curriculum integrity, moderation compliance and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team of tutors and manage staff
• Oversee staff compliance and administrative oversight
• Support students and maintain academic quality
• Contribute to curriculum development and teaching excellence

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate (essential)
• Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) in nursing, education or a related field
• Proven experience leading academic or clinical teams
• Demonstrated experience in clinical education, clinical placement coordination or academic leadership
• Experience contributing to NCNZ accreditation, monitoring or programme approval processes
• Strong working knowledge of the Nursing Council of New Zealand Education Programme Standards
• Certificate in Adult Teaching
