Team Leader – Fixed Term Cleaning (Christchurch)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee a small cleaning team at our Christchurch site on a fixed‑term basis until August 2026. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and client satisfaction in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of cleaners, assigning duties and conducting spot checks.
• Schedule tasks to meet deadlines, service level agreements and client KPIs.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, ensure tools are functional and comply with safety standards.
• Respond to client requests, feedback and any incidents or hazards.
• Manage rosters, provide shift coverage and recruit/onboard new team members.
• Participate in daily cleaning operations and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Strong cleaning experience with knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials and equipment.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience in a cleaning or facilities setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and ability to act on accidents or hazards.
• Basic computer and phone application skills.
• Valid work rights in New Zealand.
