Team Leader – Customer Information Services

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to head a dynamic team that provides information to customers while ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and Official Information Act. Based in our Ellerslie office, you will shape a high‑performing team through strong people management, coaching, and strategic leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a customer‑focused team.
• Manage workflow, monitor quality standards and ensure timely delivery of information.
• Oversee compliance with the Privacy and Official Information Acts.
• Identify and mitigate risks, produce regular reports for senior management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing customer‑service teams.
• Practical coaching experience and systems‑thinking mindset.
• Strong understanding of the Privacy Act and Official Information Act.
• Ability to handle competing demands and manage relationships at all levels.
• Appreciation of cross‑cultural practices, including knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' cultures.
