Team Leader – AOG Operations

About the role

You will lead a small, highly skilled AOG (Aircraft on Ground) team where speed, trust and expertise are essential. The role combines people leadership with around 50% hands‑on consulting on complex, time‑critical travel bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support consultants within the AOG team.
• Maintain a hands‑on consulting role for roughly half of your time on urgent bookings.
• Act as the escalation point and subject‑matter expert during disruptions and emergencies.
• Drive service excellence, accuracy and strong commercial outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support onboarding, training, performance management and development of team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate travel consulting.
• Exposure to highly complex, time‑sensitive travel environments (AOG experience preferred).
• Leadership, mentoring or coaching experience, formal or informal.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail while managing high volumes and competing priorities.
• Confident communicator able to engage both office‑based and remote teams.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a passion for developing others.

Required skills

• Airfare reissue knowledge.
• Change process expertise.
• VTP (Virtual Ticketing Platform) experience (a bonus).
