Tax Accountant – Diverse Client Portfolio

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Tax Accountant to join our growing practice. You will manage a varied portfolio of clients—including SMEs, property investors, developers and professional firms—covering tax compliance, financial reporting and business advisory. The role is client‑focused, requiring close collaboration to deliver practical, high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax compliance filings for a range of client types.
• Produce financial reports and statements in line with NZ standards.
• Provide business advisory services related to taxation and finance.
• Maintain strong, direct relationships with clients from day one.
• Stay up‑to‑date with New Zealand tax legislation and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
• Experience in New Zealand public‑practice accounting.
• Strong knowledge of NZ tax compliance and legislation.
• Solid financial reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proactive, client‑focused mindset.
