Talent & Vetting Administrator – 12‑Month Fixed Term

About the role

Oranga Tamariki is seeking a Talent & Vetting Administrator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support its Talent Acquisition team. The role focuses on processing safety and pre‑employment checks, handling high‑volume administrative tasks, and ensuring that frontline candidates are properly vetted.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with internal staff to gather information for periodic safety checks.
• Track, record and update data in internal systems, including SAP HRIS.
• Use Microsoft Forms, Excel and other cloud‑based tools daily.
• Triaging recruitment and safety enquiries, arranging pre‑employment checks and reference checks.
• Manage shared inboxes, schedule interviews and support the recruitment team.

Required profile

• Experience in an administrative or HR support role (training provided if needed).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high‑volume data accurately.
• Excellent written communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
