Systems & Inventory Specialist – PM Shift

About the role

Primary Connect is seeking a Systems & Inventory Specialist to work the PM shift (1:30 pm – 12:00 am) on a Sunday‑Wednesday roster. You will support the distribution centre (DC) by ensuring accurate inventory data, driving continuous improvement, and helping the team deliver products to stores on time and without errors.

Key responsibilities

• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the systems team and wider DC operations.
• Maintain product layout in the system to preserve family groupings.
• Manage recalls, withdrawals, and damage investigations, working closely with operations.
• Resolve inventory queries and support the operations team on day‑to‑day issues.
• Lead projects to improve pick‑path efficiency and report on slot utilisation for ambient items.

Required profile

• Experience in a large supply‑chain environment.
• Understanding of warehouse management systems such as Blue Yonder and other WMS tools.
• Strong analytical ability to work through issues methodically and timely.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access for reporting and database queries.
• Passion for problem‑solving, excellent communication, and a self‑driven, team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Blue Yonder (or similar WMS) knowledge.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
• Microsoft Excel – advanced reporting and data analysis.
• Microsoft Access – database query creation.
