Systems Administrator – APAC Operations

About the role

GHD is seeking a technically strong Systems Administrator to support APAC Operations. The role will involve managing a diverse set of systems and platforms across the region, ensuring they remain available, reliable, and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, monitor, manage and decommission systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Technology teams to align services with business requirements and IT best practices.
• Provide high‑level technical guidance to Service Delivery teams across the Asia‑Pacific region.
• Ensure system design, deployment and security meet regional and GHD standards.
• Analyse complex operational and architectural issues and drive root‑cause resolution.
• Coordinate technical discussions, workshops and incident reviews.
• Translate technical concepts into clear explanations for varied audiences.
• Act as technical coordinator during incidents or major initiatives.
• Automate deployment and configuration using PowerShell and Python.
• Maintain vulnerability management and business continuity for cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to break down multi‑domain problems.
• Excellent communication skills to lead technical discussions and collaborate across diverse teams.
• Proactive stakeholder engagement, preferring direct conversation over passive messaging.
