Support Worker - Pyes Pa (Tauranga)

About the role

HealthCare NZ, a provider of in-home and community-based health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support, is recruiting Support Workers for its Pyes Pa service in the Tauranga branch area. The role sits within a wider team helping clients live as independently as possible in their homes and community, following a care plan. Permanent full-time and part-time options are available.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients to live independently within their homes and community
• Help clients achieve their goals through practical and emotional support
• Follow a care plan, which may include meal preparation, community outings and integration, giving medication, personal care (showering, toileting) and home management

Required profile

• A desire to help and support others
• Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
• Full New Zealand driver's licence and own reliable transport required for most positions
• Right to work in New Zealand and willingness to undergo police vetting and additional checks
