Support Worker – Permanent Reliever

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join Hōhepa’s community in Somerfield, Canterbury. As a Permanent Reliever you will provide flexible, on‑site assistance to people receiving aged and disability support services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality personal care and daily living support to clients.
• Assist with mobility, medication reminders, and social activities.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate any changes in client needs to the team.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in aged or disability support.
• Passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work on‑site in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Basic first‑aid knowledge.
• Ability to follow care plans and health and safety procedures.
