Supply Chain Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Supply Chain Lead to build and manage the end‑to‑end supply chain for a fast‑growing business operating between New Zealand and China. You will work closely with local suppliers, manufacturers and international logistics partners to create robust procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with New Zealand suppliers, manufacturers and OEM partners.
• Manage supplier enquiries, quotations, pricing and procurement activities.
• Coordinate production schedules and monitor supplier performance to meet delivery timelines.
• Oversee the full export process, including freight coordination, shipping documentation and communication with logistics providers.
• Support import/export documentation and regulatory compliance, particularly for shipments between New Zealand and China.
• Monitor inventory levels, lead times and overall supply‑chain performance, identifying efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to the continuous development of supply‑chain processes as the business scales.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or sourcing within manufacturing, FMCG or food production.
• Hands‑on experience working with New Zealand suppliers and manufacturers.
• Familiarity with import/export operations and international logistics, especially involving China.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude and ability to work autonomously.
