Store Manager

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Store Manager to lead our front‑of‑house team, ensure smooth daily operations, and deliver memorable experiences for customers and staff alike. This hands‑on role combines leadership, administration, and operational oversight in a fast‑paced food retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a front‑of‑house team of six, including training and coaching.
• Oversee day‑to‑day store operations, from stock management to food safety checks.
• Maintain store organisation through administrative and operational tasks.
• Build strong relationships with staff and customers to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
• Collaborate closely with the owner and Hospitality Manager to shape business processes.
• Manage rosters for a Tuesday‑Saturday schedule, covering three daytime and two evening shifts.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years proven experience in a store management role.
• Experience in food retail (e.g., dessert stores, sweet shops) is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Full driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Clean criminal history.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident or valid visa).
