About the role
As the Store Manager for Arc'teryx’s inaugural New Zealand location, you will lead from the floor, connect with your team, and bring the brand’s vision to life. This role blends community building, commercial stewardship, and a passion for outdoor performance.
Key responsibilities
- Build, develop, and lead an engaged, high‑performing retail team.
- Deliver a best‑in‑class guest experience by leading from the floor.
- Launch and operate a commercially successful store, overseeing labour, expenses, and inventory.
- Own the end‑to‑end employee experience—from recruitment and onboarding to coaching and development.
- Foster a store culture that reflects Arc'teryx values and connects authentically with the local community.
- Manage product flow, visual merchandising, and inventory operations.
- Champion sustainability, innovation, and outdoor exploration.
- Lead weekly leadership huddles to align people, product, operations, and community.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of retail leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance people, product, and profit.
- Strong financial acumen in budgeting, expense management, and performance driving.
- Passionate about developing people and building confident teams.
- Committed to sustainability, innovation, and community engagement.
- Adaptable, solution‑focused, and comfortable with change and ambiguity.
- Collaborative, curious, and always seeking improvement.
- Authentic leader with clear communication skills.
- Enthusiastic about outdoor adventure and the Arc'teryx product range.
