Stocktake Assistant

About the role

The Stocktake Assistant plays a vital part in ensuring inventory accuracy across Woolworths stores on the North Island. You will work closely with the Stocktake Manager, leading on‑floor counts, guiding teammates and travelling to various locations as required.

Key responsibilities

• Execute precise stock counting procedures and verify tallies.
• Identify and resolve missing or incorrect stock items.
• Assist the Stocktake Manager with daily operational tasks and escalation of issues.
• Finalize missed articles and complete specific operational jobs to close each stocktake on time.
• Travel to multiple North Island stores according to the annual stocktake schedule.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with solid mathematical ability.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Reliable attendance record and strong work ethic.
• Flexible availability on Mondays for out‑of‑Auckland trips.
• Willingness to travel periodically for up to 14 weeks per year (typically 1‑3 nights per trip).
