Staffing Coordinator – Packhouse Operations

About the role

DMS is seeking an organised, people‑focused Staffing Coordinator to join its Te Puna packhouse team. In this fast‑paced, hands‑on position you will work closely with production coordinators, supervisors, the packhouse manager, payroll and HR to ensure staffing levels meet operational needs while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing requirements across all packhouse shifts.
• Review rosters before each shift, flagging shortages or absenteeism promptly.
• Update shift sheets and rosters to align with production demands.
• Support onboarding, induction and training coordination for seasonal employees.
• Monitor time‑and‑attendance records, resolve discrepancies and assist staff with payroll queries.
• Assist supervisors with staffing issues, workplace concerns and team communication.
• Maintain accurate training records, SOPs and seasonal staffing documentation.
• Promote staff engagement initiatives and uphold health, safety, housekeeping and BRC standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in staffing coordination, administration, HR support or workforce planning.
• Strong organisational abilities with capacity to multitask in a fast‑moving environment.
• Confident communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
