About the role
SENse Learning is seeking passionate Specialist Teachers to provide one‑to‑one support for young people with SEND, SEMH and related needs. You will deliver tailored learning sessions in homes, community settings or online, inspiring students to re‑engage with education.
Key responsibilities
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with children and young people who have experienced difficulties in previous education settings.
- Provide in‑person, remote or hybrid tutoring for pupils ranging from KS1 to KS5, adapting curriculum to individual needs.
- Collaborate with parents, carers and schools to schedule lessons and monitor progress.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and create a safe learning environment.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years post‑NQT teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).
- Understanding of child‑centred, holistic and trauma‑informed approaches.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and two professional references.
- Right to work in the UK.
