Specialist Service Delivery – IT & AV Support

About the role

The Enterprise Digital Support team at the University of Otago is looking for a Specialist Service Delivery professional to provide high‑quality, customer‑focused IT and audio‑visual (AV) support across campus. You will work in a collaborative, multi‑skilled environment, assisting staff and students in both everyday desktop operations and technology‑enabled teaching settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop and AV support, troubleshooting hardware, software, systems and teaching technologies.
• Respond to incidents, service requests and live teaching or event environments with timely resolution.
• Install, configure and maintain IT and AV equipment in offices, classrooms and live venues.
• Engage with customers, offering proactive advice and trusted support.
• Contribute to problem resolution, service improvement initiatives and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Experience in desktop support and/or AV support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across devices, systems and AV technologies.
• Customer‑focused attitude with excellent communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments and service‑management practices.
• Legal right to live and work in New Zealand.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent position (37.5 hours/week) with a rostered shift pattern.
• Salary range $85,057–$92,174 per annum (top of range $97,508).
