Solutions Architect – Fixed Term (Auckland)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex technology initiatives across a large enterprise environment in Auckland. You will own end‑to‑end solution architecture, ensuring that technology investments are scalable, secure, resilient and aligned with long‑term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end technology solutions spanning applications, cloud, infrastructure, networking and integration.
• Translate business requirements into practical, scalable architectures.
• Lead solution design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Review and assure designs produced by vendors and project teams.
• Drive architecture governance, standards and best practices across multiple programmes.
• Identify technology risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and future‑state architecture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience across infrastructure, systems, networking, software or cloud technologies.
• At least 5 years in enterprise solution architecture.
• Proven success designing enterprise‑scale technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, infrastructure, security and systems integration.
• Experience with APIs, integration patterns and enterprise application architecture.
• Understanding of modern delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience working with vendors and leading technical design discussions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
