Software Lifecycle Engineer - AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a Software Lifecycle Engineer who will act as an AI Trainer, helping to improve AI models that generate code. Working remotely as part of DataAnnotation’s coding team, you will design and solve programming challenges that train state‑of‑the‑art AI systems, with a focus on Android development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document diverse coding problems used to train AI models.
• Write clear, high‑quality code snippets and detailed explanations for each problem.
• Evaluate AI‑generated code for correctness, performance, and readability, providing actionable feedback.
• Collaborate with the platform to create engaging apps and visualizations that illustrate AI insights.
• Choose projects and schedule that match your availability, working on your own computer.

Required profile

• Fluent English (native or bilingual level).
• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress.
• Previous experience as a software developer, coder, or programmer is preferred.
• Ability to work independently as an independent contractor.

Required skills

• Kotlin (preferred for Android development).
• Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Swift.
• Strong written communication and grammar skills.
