Software Engineer – Spend Clarity

About the role

Visa is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Spend Clarity team. You will help design, build, and maintain high‑quality applications that enable seamless payment experiences for consumers and merchants worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Write, modify, and review clean, testable code across front‑end, back‑end, and data layers.
• Integrate systems using APIs, messaging queues, and databases.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and large‑scale processing jobs with cloud services.
• Create unit, integration, and end‑to‑end automated tests.
• Maintain CI pipelines and enforce code quality through reviews and static analysis.
• Build, package, and deploy applications via CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration tools.
• Monitor production systems with observability tools, investigate incidents, and implement fixes.
• Apply secure coding practices, manage secrets, and ensure robust authentication/authorization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree OR 3+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience building web‑based or mobile applications.
• Proven ability to debug, perform root‑cause analysis, and write automated tests.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and documentation for audits.
