About the role
As a Software Developer at nib you will design, develop and support applications and platforms that meet business needs and add value for members and end‑users. You will work closely with Business Analysts, UX designers, Architects and other stakeholders to ensure solutions align with requirements, design standards and the overall architecture.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
- Ensure applications meet performance, quality and documentation standards for stakeholder sign‑off.
- Embed quality practices across the SDLC, including unit, integration and UI test automation.
- Maintain strong security awareness, identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Resolve production issues within SLA and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and reporting mechanisms.
- Produce and keep technical documentation up to date.
- Support production processes, releases and environment management, providing Level 2 support.
Required profile
- Commercial experience developing solutions with modern languages such as Node.js and C#.
- Hands‑on experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, AngularJS) and web frameworks (MVC, Ruby on Rails).
- Strong knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Architectural mindset with solid understanding of core software engineering principles.
- Degree in a relevant IT discipline.
- Advocate for automated testing, CI/CD and good engineering practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is desired.
- Familiarity with ORMs such as Entity Framework or NHibernate.
