Social Media Business Strategist (3‑month Contract)

About the role

The Social Media Business Strategist will design and execute social media strategies for the newly launched OCEANBLUE brand, aligning content and campaigns with business objectives and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and publish content across multiple social platforms.
• Analyze performance metrics and optimize campaigns to boost engagement and conversions.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and audience insights to refine strategy.
• Test new content formats and recommend data‑backed improvements.
• Prepare regular performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social channels.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in social media marketing and social media optimization.
• Experience developing and implementing content strategies that meet business goals.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and reporting.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with a data‑informed decision‑making track record.
• Ability to work on‑site in New Zealand and collaborate in a cross‑functional team.
• Relevant experience in digital marketing, brand management or growth strategy, preferably in B2B or technology sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent practical experience.
