Small Business Specialist (Business Banking)

About the role

The Business Service Specialist – Small Business Specialist – will deliver market‑leading service to ANZ’s Business and Agri customers, helping them launch and grow their enterprises. The role focuses on creating seamless, positive experiences and recommending tailored financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support Kiwis in launching their businesses by providing banking services and market insights.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences via phone, email and online channels.
• Handle inbound calls, respond to customer emails and proactively reach out to business customers.
• Build strong, positive relationships ensuring every interaction is easy, efficient and accurate.
• Drive customer retention through term‑deposit rollovers, business check‑ins and promotion of preferred service channels.
• Refer credit needs to Relationship Managers or Business Lending Specialists.
• Meet service quality standards and adhere to structured service processes.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and customer‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule (Tuesday‑Saturday or Monday‑Friday) and start between 8:00 am‑10:00 am.
• Commitment to a hybrid working model with at least 50 % on‑site presence at corporate sites.
• Proactive approach to outreach and problem solving.
• Understanding of small‑business banking needs.
