Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS)

About the role

Higgins Wellington's traffic division is hiring several Site Traffic Management Supervisors (STMS) to manage traffic safely and efficiently around its construction sites. The role leads and supports a team of traffic controllers, ensures compliance with regulations and safety standards, and contributes to the smooth running of projects and the safety of road users. It is based at the Higgins Wellington branch on Glover Street.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of traffic controllers
• Ensure safe and efficient traffic management around construction sites
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards

Required profile

• STMS qualification with Category A, B and C licence
• Full clean New Zealand driver's licence, minimum Class 1; Class 2 desirable
• Previous experience mentoring and supervising crews
• Proven experience in the traffic industry
• High level of physical fitness, as the role is physically demanding
• Reliable, honest and flexible
