Site Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Site Supervisor to lead daily construction activities on the Seaview WWTP Sludge Dryer Replacement Project in Wellington. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be on‑site full‑time, coordinating crews, managing logistics and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coordinate subcontractors, deliveries and work‑fronts across a complex infrastructure site.
• Identify and resolve on‑site issues quickly, maintaining progress against the programme.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety checks and quality inspections.
• Collaborate with Site Engineers, client representatives and suppliers to keep the project moving efficiently.
• Manage site logistics, including material handling, equipment allocation and site access.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction activities in live project environments.
• Strong ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage multiple work fronts.
• Solid understanding of construction safety, quality and delivery processes.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of building positive on‑site relationships.
• Calm under pressure, organised and able to make practical decisions.
