Site Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction phase of a major commercial project in Whanganui. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality finishes, managing timelines and budgets, and fostering a zero‑harm safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire construction process from commencement to completion.
• Implement and champion health and safety practices to achieve a zero‑harm environment.
• Take ownership of project outcomes, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Develop a collaborative, team‑oriented work environment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain brand consistency and project specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Site Manager on residential or commercial projects.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, decision‑making and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to different sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with project management software.
