About the role

Lead the Dargaville beef processing site for Silver Fern Farms, overseeing all aspects of production, safety, quality and financial performance. You will shape the culture, develop people and drive continuous improvement to ensure the site delivers outstanding results for customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing leadership team, fostering trust, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Deliver strong operational performance across safety, quality, productivity, yield and cost management.
• Champion a world‑class safety culture, embedding ORA principles in every decision.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer and quality requirements while maintaining exceptional standards.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, capability and long‑term site performance.
• Build strong relationships across the business to align site priorities with organisational goals.
• Create an environment where employees feel valued, supported and motivated to achieve their best.

Required profile

• Senior operational leader with extensive experience in manufacturing, processing or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead complex operations, develop people and drive results.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with practical, hands‑on leadership.
• Comfortable discussing strategy at board level and engaging with teams on the shop floor.
• Track record of earning trust, building capability and fostering a high‑performance culture.
