Site Manager – Auckland Turf Operations

About the role

PGG Wrightson Seeds is seeking an experienced, people‑focused Site Manager to lead its Auckland Turf operation. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will oversee a combined MPI Transitional Facility, warehouse, and retail environment, ensuring safe, compliant, and customer‑centric supply‑chain outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the onsite team, fostering a positive culture aligned with company values.
• Manage efficient warehouse, inventory and dispatch operations, maintaining stock integrity and accurate forecasting.
• Oversee MPI Transitional Facility requirements and biosecurity compliance.
• Drive health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the site.
• Coordinate site maintenance, contractors and facility requirements.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and operational excellence.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with a track record of developing teams.
• Experience managing health, safety and compliance in an operational setting.
• Excellent planning, organisation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining communication with remote stakeholders.
