Shipping Officer

About the role

As a Shipping Officer at Hafele in East Tamaki, Auckland, you will ensure the smooth flow of products from suppliers to customers by managing shipments, freight and import processes. The role is hands‑on and integral to our global supply chain, requiring close collaboration with internal teams to schedule deliveries, track inventory and comply with import regulations. You will work within a supportive local team culture that values proactive problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound and inbound shipments to keep products moving efficiently.
• Arrange freight bookings and select appropriate carriers.
• Prepare and verify import documentation and customs paperwork.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers and internal departments to resolve shipping issues.
• Monitor shipment status, track deliveries and update records.
• Maintain accurate logs of freight costs and shipping performance.
