Service Technician I – Material Handling Systems

About the role

Vanderlande is seeking a Service Technician I to join its team at the Asda site in Warrington. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing material handling equipment to ensure high productivity, safety, and equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and execute effective corrective actions.
• Interact professionally with customers via face‑to‑face, phone, email or radio.
• Provide shift cover and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Carry out routine checks, cleaning, lubrication and adjustments.
• Identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.

Required profile

• Good level of electrical and mechanical multi‑skilling.
• Methodical, accurate and proven problem‑solver.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work safely.
